On a secure 20 hectare site, the 27 000 square meters of building can accommodate around 200 research staff and has expansion possibilities (including outline planning permission) to host another 400 people.
There are 4 main types of accommodation: the laboratories, development machinery halls, storage and offices. These can be adapted to suit the needs of medium or large research teams, possibly with associated small scale or pilot production units.
Supporting facilities include a range of flexible meeting rooms, a specialized video conferencing room (also available for companies not located on the site), hazardous waste storage, workshop and restaurant.

The location of the laboratory is one of the best being 20 minutes from Brussels, "the crossroads of Europe".
It has easy access to major airports, high speed railways and motorways, and is close to a number of internationally recognized universities.
Located in pleasant, landscapes surroundings within Louvain-la-Neuve's science park, the research centre is since 1988 a landmark in terms of its sophisticated architecture and aesthetics. |
